I liked it!

A fascinating and well-researched mixture of Police Procedural and various mythologies, mostly Norse. I’m proud to say I did pick up on some of the less obvious ones (reels, turning clothes inside outs, daoine sidhe) having read up on a good deal of it in university when I was writing my own small press comic Horizon Line.

My favourite brick joke in the book was Mysti Vale’s t-shirt, which proclaimed “I brought pie!” Very clever.

A few technical things (none of which detracted from the story for me):

The early page seem to reveal the rough pencils under the inking, which vanish later, so I’m sure it wasn’t a design choice.

Page 93, Panel 5, features a floating “I brought pie!” attached to no Mysti Vale.

Page 107, bottom panel, features and empty dialogue bubble attributed to McCall. I’m not sure if it’s there for effect or not.
